First though, the runners up.
Troy gave us something to think about, pointing out that although Toshiba is preparing to launch its first fuel cell-powered gadgets, it could cause a new row over compatibility “Fuel cell fuel tanks – The new inkjet cartridge?” he says.
Similarly, Georgejallen can see a problem with SanDisk’s new SlotMusic player, simply stating: “Minidiscs? Anyone…?” We see your point.
But the winning comment this week was from Moof. Weighing in on Motorola’s plans to dust off its V70 design for the brand new Aura.
“The v70 was a very stylish but a VERY crappy phone” says Moof. Describing it as “hands down the worst phone I ever had” before condemning the new version
“The new one will, probably, fail too,” says Moof. “People who’ll want to get it have MUCH better options these days. even if the only catagory is style.”
We can’t agree enough. The Aura might swing into action with a slick mechanical action, but under the surface we doubt it has the chops to compete with the likes of the iPhone, N96 or T-Mobile G1.
