Toshiba is letting everyone else fight over who’s the smallest or thinnest, instead grabbing the slightly qualified world’s lightest full scale laptop crown for its own with the Portege R600.
We’re not exactly sure what a part scale laptop would look like, but from the looks of things the R600 is definitely more than what one would be. And at just 800g you’d need to keep a eye out for strong gusts of wind, it’s that light.
Inside it’s powered by a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 chip and 3GB of memory. The screen stretches to a decent 12 inches and it comes packing a 128GB solid state hard drive. You also get 3G built in, so you can surf and go anywhere you please and it’s even got room to squeeze in a proper size keyboard.
