Thought Nokia was king of the Symbian smartphone? Wrong! Samsung’s hot on its heels, first with the 8 megapixel i8510, and now with the ultra-slim i7110.
Dished up with the intent of upsetting Nokia’s N95, it’s a 5 megapixel phone running Symbian S60, and ready to chew up any app that the Big N can.
Inside there’s GPS, HSDPA and EDGE, DivX playback and the ability to shoot video at 30 frames per second. That’s enough to get the N95 worried, but Samsung has a hammer blow for Nokia’s most popular phone: the i7110 comes packing 16GB of memory.
That puts it on par with the N96, but at 12.9mm thick, Samsung’s phone is over half a centimetre thinner than Nokia’s latest.
Seems the Finnish phone makers have a fight on their hands.
