“We’ll outsell the PS3 this holiday season in North America and Europe. We’ll do it on a global scale,” says Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for the Microsoft Xbox 360.
Speaking to Kotaku, Greenberg was bullish about Microsoft’s console current sales patterns continuing, based on keeping “our price advantage over the PS3 for a long time”. Greenberg also highlighted the Xbox 360′s high rate of games-to-consoles sales (it has sold eight games for every console, compared to the Wii’s three and PS3′s two).
In May, David Reeves announced the PS3 had outsold the Xbox 360 in Europe in total units. But with both sides deploying so much PR spin and smoke and mirrors, it’s really impossible to tell if there’s any clear winner in the next-generation battle yet.
