Designed to be powered by a computer, this next-gen concept toaster not only heats bread for an ultra-quick snack, it’ll print documents, photos or even the weather forecast onto it, so you can learn as you munch!
Created by Sung Bae Chang, a design student at Sejong University, South Korea, it was one of the nine finalists in the Electrolux Design Lab competition.
Dubbed the Scan Toaster, it’s designed to appeal to busy breakfasters, it turns images and text into pixels, before scorching them into the surface of a piece of toast.
Unfortunately, it didn’t scoop the top prize, which went to Stefan Buchberger’s modular Flatshare fridge.
