The web’s running wild with speculation over the new Apple MacBooks due to be unveiled tomorrow, and the latest observations point to them being dockable in next-gen Apple monitors.
9to5Mac points out that both the new MacBook and MacBook pro have slot-loading optical drives in their side, rather than at the front.
Both laptops also have all their ports along one edge. Could Apple be prepping a new monitor, like the one seen above, which accepts the new laptops into docking slot?
It’d mean more desk space, and more screen real estate for anyone using a MacBook at home, before ejecting it from the screen and taking it on the road.
It’s not a completely bonkers concept. Apple has even patented the idea. What do you reckon? Would a dockable laptop convince you to buy a whole new Apple display (and mouse, and keyboard) to go with a new MacBook?

That would definitely prompt me to buy a new monitor and mouse (keyboard too). I love the feel of the mouse, and a large monitor would be sweet. Especially the apple ones.

Their cinema displays are pretty spankin’ nice. wouldn’t mind having a 30 inch cinema display for my new Macbook.
