Kevin Rose has let slip another tasty Apple rumour, following his spot-on predictions of the new iPod nano and iPod touch, the Digg founder says new MacBooks packing Blu-Ray drives will take centre stage on Tuesday.

The internet whizzkid let slip that he expects MacBooks packing Sony’s HD format to be unveiled at Apple’s special event next week, but also said that his source for the latest nugget of information was much less reliable than the one behind his iPod predictions.

Rose made his predictions at the Future of Web Apps expo in London. Also speaking at the event was Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. You can read our live report from Zuckerberg’s address right here.

But what do you reckon to MacBooks with Blu-Ray inside? Is it time Apple took the plunge and installed them as standard?
