There had been some suggestion that Apple’s new line of notebooks would be Eee PC-baiting ultra portables, but that might not be the case, according to the clever fellas over at Boing Boing Gadgets - they’ve deduced that the model pictured in the teaser ad has a 13.3-inch screen, just like the current MacBook range.
How? Well, they assumed that the Apple logo is the same size as the one on current Apple laptops (1.5 inches across), and used it as a guide to work out the size of the mysterious model in the murky marketing shot.
So it looks like we may well be getting those aluminium MacBooks that have been talked about for what seems like years - but of course, that doesn’t mean there won’t be other models in other sizes launched next week. Steve Jobs and co will reveal all on the 14th - keep it here for full coverage of the event.

Interesting idea, but perhaps a slightly strange way of guessing the size. Does that mean that if they’d seen a photo of the logo on a pre-production iPhone they’d have assumed that it was the ‘usual’ size and thus assumed that the iPhone was about the size of, say, a MacBook Pro?
