Firefox will make the leap to mobile platforms even earlier than we’d anticipated, with Nokia’s Internet Tablets the first to take Mozilla’s new browser for a spin!
The Linux-running N810 will get Firefox Mobile first, using its touchscreen to navigate pages, but don’t get too excited yet, this is still an early release intended purely for testing.
Known as an Alpha version, Firefox Mobile’s first public outing is expected to be buggy at best, but it’s an important step in shoehorning the browser onto mobiles.
But don’t be fooled into thinking the software basic. We hear it’ll support tabs, Firefox 3’s smart URL bar and even browser extensions.
