With the latest touchscreen phones, it’s all about the exclusives darling. Which means you’ll have to go to the trouble of switching mobile operator if you want to keep up with the Joneses.
Want an iPhone 3G? Switch to 02. BlackBerry Storm? Become a Vodafone man. G1? It’s got to be T-Mobile. And now Orange, not wanting to be left out, has bagged the exclusive on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
No more news on its release date or price, but Nokia has said that the handset will be available SIM-free for £219, early next year. Not bad, considering it’s Nokia’s first ever touchscreen phone, and it comes with all-you-can-eat music downloads for the first year of ownership. The future, for Nokia lovers, is Orange.
