The rumours were right! Apple’s holding a special event next Tuesday, issuing invitations with the simple line: “The spotlight turns to notebooks.” Excited? You bet we are!
Rumours surrounding new MacBooks stretch back for months. Both the MacBook and MacBook Pro are long overdue for a refresh.
But what will Apple unveil? We’ve seen spy shots, and have heard reports that the new laptops are made of aluminium. So far, so predictable.
Of course, they’ll be slimmer too, since the MacBook and MacBook Pro are looking pretty beefy by today’s standards. But there are some surprises in store.
We’ve heard rumours of glass trackpads, and even whispers that they’ll house a second, multi-touch screen.
What’s more, Apple’s believed to have perfected a new manufacturing process, letting the company make laptops out of a single piece of metal. That means a thinner, lighter shell, with no screws and zero chance of imperfections.
Still want more? The latest murmur is they’ll be the cheapest MacBooks yet!
Stay tuned for more as soon as we hear it, and of course, all the latest direct from Apple on the 14th!
