Asus Eee PC S101We got some sneak peeks of Asus’ premium Eee PC a few weeks back, but now the firm has finally given the brown beauty some official confirmation. It’s definitely coming to the UK, and it’s likely to set you back around £400.

That’s not quite as wallet-friendly as other Eee PCs, sure – but then the S101 looks likely to come with 2GB of memory, up to 64GB of solid state storage and a glossy brown finish (it looks good, honest!). It’s also skinnier (25mm at its fattest point) and lighter than the current 901 and 1000-series Eee models.

There’ll be a 10.2-inch screen, which rumour suggests may be LED backlit. We’ll have to wait and see about that.

We’ll bring you official UK prices and release dates as soon as we get them.
