Sony VAIO JSWe got our first glimpse of Sony’s gorgeous new VAIO JS a few days ago, and now the big S has dished up some pricing info – for the US market, at least. There will be two versions of the comely all-in-one available, with the cheapest JS130 costing a surprisingly affordable $1,099.99 (about £630).

That model features a 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 20.1-inch screen, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, an integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam and Windows Vista Home Premium, and will be available in black, silver and pink finishes. Not a bad little lot for the money, we think you’ll agree – especially if you compare it to the £799 entry-level iMac.

The premium JS190 model adds a Blu-ray drive (playback only), Bluetooth and a 3.0GHz Core 2 Duo, but is otherwise the same. This will cost $1,500 (£855) – which again looks like something of a bargain next to Apple’s iMac offerings.

The JS is hitting the States any day now, and hopefully it’ll arrive here soon after – and fingers crossed the prices will be the same.
