Sony Ericsson X1 - Lock up your motorsForget everything you know about handsfree car kits – Sony Ericsson and Saab have just rewritten the Bluetooth rule book. They’ve only gone and given the Xperia X1 smartphone the power to control a car from the palm of your hand.

Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show as part of Saab’s stunning 9-X Air concept car launch, Sony Ericsson’s Windows Mobile toting X1 Xperia smartphone with it’s fully customisable touchscreen have been given some pretty nifty add-ons that’ll let you…
• Control the lights inside and out
• Lock up
• Adjusting the front and rear seats
• Open the boot.

Clever stuff indeed, but with Sony Ericsson supplying Bond with his handsets these days we’re disappointed there’s no machine gun or ejector seat included. Where’s Q when you need him? Unless we’re glimpsing a future where 007 ditches the Aston for an estate, buys a Labrador and joins in on the school run.
