We’ve just been getting touchy feely with Panasonic’s ultra-small, ultra-light G1 SLR. It’s one of the first to offer Micro Four Thirds technology, packing in all the features you’d expect from a professional SLR, but in a package just a bit bigger than a compact camera.
Take a peep at the image gallery below, and you’ll see the Panasonic G1′s small frame in full effect. Even its lenses are shorter, giving the whole shebang a more pocketable feel.
Inside there’s a slew of new technology, from live view and image stabilisation to ultra-smart auto-focussing, that’ll not only lock on to a target, but follow it around too – perfect for sports events, or photographing unruly kids as they dash around at breakneck speed.
The 12 megapixel snapper’s got a gorgeous 3 inch screen slapped on its back too. It’s an absolute treat to use, and makes framing shots without squinting through the viewfinder dead simple.
Feast your eyes on the gallery below to see it close up, and if you’re wondering about image quality, we took all the photos using a G1 too!
