The BlackBerry Storm has landed. It’s officially official, and we’ve rounded up al the latest for you, in one place, so it’s easy to digest this lunchtime.
The Storm was announced, as we predicted, at 5am this morning. Its the first touchscreen phone BlackBerry has ever created, and squeezes in some proper next-gen technology.
Not that the launch was completely flawless. Vodafone even posted botched images of the phone on their website, sporting iPhone screenshots in place of the BlackBerry operating system.
But mishaps aside, it’s an impressive bit of kit. The screen uses new technology to “click” when pressure is applied, making typing e-mails feel as natural as possible, while maintaining the flexibility of a touchscreen to display anything you like.
There’s an accelerometer built in too, as well as a 3.2 megapixel camera, just like the T-Mobile G1.
See all the official photos of the BlackBerry Storm here. No more fuzzy spy shots. No more speculation. We’ve got the real deal, right here.
We’ve also delved underneath the skin of the Storm, digging out the nasty little secrets BlackBerry would rather we glossed over. While it’s certainly an amazing handset, there’s still a few fatal flaws underneath that glossy exterior.

Does it have wifi?
