If you haven’t ordered your hawt new
T-Mobile G1 Android phone… it’s too late. The phone operator has announced that pre-order sales for the G1 Android handset have been three times greater than expected and it won’t promise to ship any more before the official US launch on 22nd October.
T-Mobile is keeping tight-lipped about just how many handsets have already been snapped up, but did reveal that it’s tripled the original order for the G1 Android and every single unit has been bought already.
Don’t panic too much; you’ll still be able to lay your mitts on the G1 in store on launch day, but we would suggest investing in a nice Arctic sleeping bag before joining the very, very long queue. Can’t wait that long? Get (as close as damn it) hands on with the G1 with T-Mobiles great new Android emulator.
