If you’re looking for a portable gaming titan you might want to throw a glance towards the new G71 laptop from Asus – it’s a 17-inch beast powered by an Intel Quad Core QX9300 processor!
It’s the first Quad Core gaming notebook, according to its makers, and also sports a GeForce 9700M GT graphics card, up to 4GB of memory and up to 1TB of storage. There’s also the option to fit it out with a Blu-ray writer, while Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a 2-megapixel webcam come as standard. Being a games-centric machine, there are also a range of hotkeys which can be assigned to launch your favourite games instantly.
The Quad Core version doesn’t seem to be available in the UK just yet, but the lesser editions (which run on Core 2 Duo processors) are out now, priced at around £1,100.
