10-inch MSI Wind U100 hits US stores

As expected, MSI has officially launched the 10-inch MSI Wind U100 in the States. The compact, lightweight netbook has just popped up in branches of Best Buy for $399 - a mere £230.

The laptop comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 120GB hard disk drive, 10-inch 1,024 x 600 screen, 1GB of memory and Windows XP Home Edition, and is available in black and white finishes. The keyboard is a point of pride for MSI, because it’s only 20 percent smaller than a full sized one, despite the U100’s dinky dimensions.

There’s no word on the UK spec, price or availability just yet, but keep it here for more news on the Wind U100 soon.
