TomTom satnav: now updated automaticallyGot a TomTom? Now you can keep it loaded with up to date maps without lifting a finger! The satnav firm’s just unveiled TomTom Map Update, a simple service to load up-to-the-minute maps as soon as they’re available.

Available to anyone with a TomTom satnav, the service costs just £7.95 every three months, and delivers new maps as soon as they’re available using software for a desktop PC.

What’s more, if an updated map becomes available within 30 days of a TomTom purchase, you’re entitled to a one-off free update.

“The world’s road infrastructure changes up to 15% each year and with TomTom’s Map Update Service, TomTom Map Share and our latest map guarantee, users can now keep up with these changes,”  explained Corinne Vigreux, TomTom’s managing director.
