Numerous sources are pointing towards an October 14 launch for Apple’s next-generation MacBooks, with the firm expected to unveil a complete overhaul of its laptop line, powered using new chips from Nvidia.
According to AppleInsider, Nvidia is providing many of the circuit boards inside the new MacBook laptops, shoehorning graphics acceleration as well as support for Intel’s newest processors into a single design.
Nvidia is even rumoured to be showing the new MacBook to internal staff, hinting that a public launch could come as early as next week.
As well as AppleInsider’s sources, TUAW is claiming the new laptops will be launched as soon as the 14th, as is Daring Fireball’s John Gruber.
We’ve got everything crossed for a long-overdue refresh of the MacBook range, especially given the latest hints about Apple’s Brick project.
