MSI is expanding its range of dinky netbooks by ushering in not one but two new editions of the Wind in the coming weeks – and one of them will sport “a whole new look” and features. Yes, it’s the Wind 2!
The Wind 2′s real name will apparently be the Wind U120, and according to MSI’s US sales director Andy Tung, it’ll be out Stateside in late November or early December and be aimed at the business market. MSI has revamped the design and will be offering new hard disk and solid state drive options, plus 3.5G WWAN wireless connectivity. A price of under $600 (£340) is expected.
Even closer is the MSI Wind U100, which hits the shelves of a “large national retailer” in the States next week, with a Windows XP/3-cell battery version priced at $399 (£230).
There’s no word on a UK release date for either model just yet, but as soon as we know, you will too.
