iPhone owners, prepare to turn emerald with envy. Documents have been unearthed showing the BlackBerry Storm’s copy and paste function. Not only is it simple and effective, but it uses multi-touch too.
In a feat so far unmatched by Apple, RIM has managed to cram copy and paste inside the BlackBerry Storm, using two fingers and a pinching movement over text to highlight it, before selecting ‘copy’ from a separate menu.
Documents unearthed by the Boy Genius Report show the function in use, with one finger placed at the beginning of a selection, and another at the end. The fingers are then brought together to create a selection, before the phone’s ‘copy’ function can be selected from a menu.
Copied text is then available for dumping anywhere else on the phone. Hear that Apple? It’s not so hard after all.
