Can’t wait to get your hands on Nintendo’s DSi? Well, you may need to prepare yourself for a bit of a wait - Nintendo president Satoru Iwata told the Nikkei business paper that the new DS will “probably” be launched in the US and Europe next year.
Previously a 2009 release date had seemed a dead cert, but Iwata’s non-commital utterings suggest that we might have an even longer wait on the cards. Or he could just be casting a bit of doubt on the situation to keep the shoppers shelling out for the current-gen DS now rather than waiting a few months for the next one. Hopefully it’s the latter.
We’ll bring you more news on the DSi’s release date as we get it.
