While laptops seem to be getting ever smaller, HP has gone large instead and created the HDX18t - an absolute beast of a computer, complete with 18.4-inch screen. That’s larger than the monitors most people use on their desk.
Feeding that gigantic display is a 512MB Nvidia GeForce 90600M GT graphics card, so it’ll no doubt be up for a bit of gaming. As you’d expect, Intel is performing the processor duties, with a range of Core 2 Duo chips at your disposal and it comes rammed with 4GB of memory.
Storage maxes out at 640GB - using twin 320GB discs - and there’s Blu-ray for backup. There’s also an internal HDTV tuner - although that’ll no doubt get stripped out by the time it hits our shores as there’ll be nothing for it to tune into. Despite its mega-spec, the price isn’t horrendous starting at $1,549.99 - around £880.
