It’s hard to know whether Asus has a clear plan when it comes to new Eee PC models, or whether its strategy is more akin to that of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. If you’re still waiting for the perfect model to match your very specific circumstances then perhaps the 1000HA is the machine for you.
The 1000HA is apparently Asus’ answer to Acer’s Aspire One, which has manage to sneak its way into the pintsized PC dinner party and wedge its tiny little feet firmly under the table.
It comes in black or white - sorry, fine ebony or pearl white - and its spec ain’t far off that of the Aspire One. Inside you’ll find a 1.6GHz Intel Atom chip, 1GB of memory, 160GB hard drive and Windows XP. In addition it’s got an extra inch of screen size to wave around, with a 10in display to the One’s 8.9 incher.
