We’re suckers for a cute robot, so Elmo Live ticks all the right boxes. This ultra-advanced entertainment ‘bot dances, sits down, crosses his legs, waves his arms and even talks to tell kids (and big kids like) stories.
Dancing around and waving his arms, Elmo Live even acts out tales. He really has to be seen to be believed (luckily, we’ve got a video of him in action below.)
The last robotic Elmo, dubbed Tickle Me Elmo, was a sell-out success in 1996, and Elmo Live looks like eclipsing its success this Christmas.
Best of all, it’s now on sale for a shade under £60!

I still have an original Tickle Me Elmo - but I want this one more.
And yes, for those able to count, that would have made me 19 when I bought it. I’m not proud.
