LG’s not content with multi-tallented 8 megapixel phones like the Renoir, the company wants to bring touchscreen handsets to the masses, and this is the phone to do it: the bargain basement KP500.
Packing a full touchscreen interface, complete with the same widgets we’ve already seen on the Renoir, the KP500 also squeezes in handwriting recognition and a motion sensor, powering games, and the screen’s auto-rotation.
There’s no word on the camera included, but LG’s implying in its announcement that the KP500 will see a 5 megapixel sensor shoved in its rear.
Out next month, LG’s promising a “low price tag,” but hasn’t clarified exactly what it’ll be yet.
