Samsung’s already selling one 8 megapixel cameraphone in the shape of the i8510, but now it’s let slip official details of its next high-res cameraphone, the M8800 Pixon.
Inside the Pixon is an 8 megapixel sensor, as well as a dual LED flash and GPS. As you’d expect, it’ll geo-tag photos as they’re taken, and features face detection too.
It differs from the i8510 by packing in a touchscreen, but still offers 3G browsing with speedy HSDPA.
We’re still waiting for a price in the UK, but in the meantime, why not check out other 8 megapixel phones, like the Sony Ericsson C905 and LG KC910 Renoir.
