Makers of the Shazam music discovery app have confirmed that it has been downloaded by over 1.5m iPhone users in just six weeks – making it one of the most popular applications on Apple’s touch screen blower.
Available for free via Apple’s App Store, it allows users to identify songs, buy them through iTunes if required, tag them with photos, as well as watch promo clips on YouTube.
Shazam also revealed that it’s currently beavering away on a premium version of the app offering a number of additional features. It won’t cost downloaders a penny, though – instead it’ll be free and ad supported.
