Fresh from breaking the record for most console downloads Star Wars: Force Unleashed is now the fastest-selling Star Wars game of all time selling 1.5 million copies in less than a week.
Just two weeks ago Force unleashed notched up 2.3 million console downloads within a month, but sales of the game look like lightsabering straight through those figures in sales.
The force certainly is strong with this one, as LucasArts president, Darrel Rodriguez pointed out.
“The record-setting sales of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed shows the undiminished power of Star Wars and its popularity across all media types, including video games,” he said before adding “we’re blown away by the response to the game.”
It might have had mixed reviews but there’s no doubt Star Wars fans have been keeping the faith.
