Not content with shoveling on-demand TV shows to owners of Apple’s handset, the Beeb’s just started offering catch-up services for radio too!
It forms part of the usual iPlayer interface, so if you’ve ever used an iPhone to watch TV, you’ll be right at home.
What’s more, the radio catch-up service comes in addition to the BBC’s dedicated podcasts website for iPhone.
The Beeb’s Controller of Multiplatform & Interactive, Audio & Music Interactive, Mark Friend, said: “One of the secrets of radio’s success has been the ability to listen to it while you’re on the move. So it’s not surprising that lots of people have been asking when they’ll be able to listen to the BBC’s digital radio services on mp3 players and mobiles.
“From today, you’ll be able to listen to BBC radio programmes on demand on an iPhone or iPod Touch for up to seven days after broadcast.”
