USBw100Wireless internet via Wi-Fi is great, but it can be a little limiting. Motorola is hedging its bets on WiMax as the next big thing in internet anywhere, and has just flashed us a clever little USB key that brings you just that.Plug the USBw100 into your laptop and you’re away, wherever you are, ripping data from the sky miles away from WiMax base stations.

Moto has three different versions for use with the various standard frequencies across the world (2.3GHz, 2.5GHz and 3.5 GHz), and if that’s not enough, it chucks in GPS positioning as well.

Now all we need is for people to start using WiMax in Britain and we can kiss goodbye to so called mobile “broadband” dongles.
