Samsonite has rolled out yet another clever piece of rugged luggage and this time, it’s not on wheels – it is a wheel. It’s a hard case that’ll fit in the overhead space when you’re flying, but it’s circular, so the whole thing rolls right along.
The circular design by Rooz Mousavi has heaps of advantages. It’s much easier to drag up steps and can roll right over obstacles and the perfectly round shell has no weak points. It’s made of a hard waterproof material, so you can roll through snow and puddles and the telescopic handle retracts into the bag to leave a tablet shaped storage pod. We’ve seen some excellent baggage concepts, like the Cargo Scooter and Samsonite’s own Tot-seat case, but this will hopefully see full production soon.
