Nokia Point and FindUPDATE: We now know a bit more about Point and Find. For a start it’s coming to the UK first, and arriving soon. Find out more here.

Nokia’s about to unleash its most advanced mobile app yet, letting users point their phone camera at an object and instantly retrieve information from the web about it.

Dubbed Point and Find, it’ll use GPS to narrow down your search too, along with ultra-smart image recognition software. Nokia’s developers are even hinting it’ll work with other technologies in the future too, such as NFC.

You could use it for any number of things. Point it at a movie poster and you’ll get film reviews from the web, as well as cinema times near you, options to book tickets, and even a video or trailer. Point it at an object in a shop, and you’ll find prices from online stores.

It’s simply incredible, and now Nokia says it’ll be launching in the next few months.
