Green PCs are cool. Not because they’re powerful, or eco-friendly, but because they’ll save you a fortune.
The new Advent Eco PC uses less than half the power of a light bulb, but packs a punch as well as a tiny price tag.
On sale from today at PC World, it squeezes in an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of memory and a 160GB hard drive. You’ll also get Windows Vista Premium pre-installed.
There’s no fan inside, so it’s completely silent, and used with its special energy saver mode, it’ll cost you just £8 a year in electricity bills. Credit crunch? What credit crunch.
It’s also surprisingly reasonable at just under £600. You don’t have to be an eco warrior to want one, just thrifty.
