Remember that rumour of a 32GB iPhone from this morning? There’s now a counter-rumour that it won’t be appearing any time soon!
We’d got our hopes up in anticipation of a bumper capacity increase for Apple’s handset, but the phone mavens at the Boy Genius Report say it’s not to be.
They’ve had word from an Apple employee at one of the firm’s retail stores, explaining that “rumors of the 8GB iPhone being discontinued are probably untrue and just related to the power adapter recall.”
Boy Genius’ source also says Apple’s changing the way it handles iPhone activations, in an attempt to speed up in-store processing and avoid the queues that marred the launch and sent the UK’s iTunes servers into meltdown.
