It’s been a while since we last heard some juicy motion control gossip, but now gaming accessorizer In2Games has leaked its own PS3 and Xbox 360 controller to give the Wii bad dreams.
It’s called the Gametrak Freedom and is being hailed by In2Games as “a remarkable ultrasonic 3D motion sensing technology which delivers performance, control and flexibility far in excess of that offered by existing technologies.”
Take that, Wiimote! According to In2Games it can track the 3D position and movements of up to four players at any time for total control and new ways of gaming.
Chris Richards, president and CEO of PDP believes it will be somewhat of a gaming revolution.
“Until now, gaming has been limited to the player interacting with the game although platforms such as the Wii have heightened this experience. Now, with the latest motion sensing technology created by In2Games, the game will interact with the player”
Do we really want more motion sensing controls? Surely it’s not the end for the joypad? Is it? Let us know what you think!
