If you’ve ever dreamed of playing a plastic guitar with your teeth before setting it alight on your living room floor, get ready for some good news: it seems that a Jimi Hendrix-themed edition of Guitar Hero is in the works.
While producers Red Octane and publishers Activision have yet to make any official announcement, ex Guns ‘n’ Roses axeman and famous Guitar Hero fan Slash spilled the beans in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Slash explained that he urged Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler to get involved with the rhythm game franchise (the band now have their own entire GH game, of course): “He called me about it … and I was like, ‘You gotta do it’. And Metallica’s doing it, that’s great. And they’re doing a Hendrix one, which is great.”
So there you have it: confirmation (of a sort) that Guitar Hero: Hendrix is heading our way. We’ll update you when the official announcement hits.
