Dell Mini 9. On a tray. We’ve known for sometime that Vodafone has got first dibs on the Dell Mini 9 super small laptop and will be bundling it up with a surf anywhere 3G connection. Now Voda’s just announced that it could be yours for the low, low price of free. Woohoo!

The one slight bit of information we’re missing is how much it set you back per month, but it currently offers two mobile broadband tariffs – £15 a month gets you 3GB of data, while for £25 you can have a whole 5GB of bits.

With a minimum contract term of 24 months, that would work out at £360 for the 3GB tariff and £600 for the 5GB allowance – which isn’t bad considering you’d be getting a £300 laptop thrown in for nowt. Whether it’ll be out of date in two years time, however, is another matter.

If you want to be right at the front of the queue when these start shifting, you can register your interest by pointing your browser a this way.
