fit-PC SlimIt’s official: the death knell of the beige box next to your desk has been rung. The fit-PC Slim has been leaked, and as these screens show, it’s so small that you really could lose it like your car keys. The Eee Box had better be worried: considering its size, it packs a healthy amount of computing power, somehow cramming in Wi-Fi, a couple of USB slots, 512 MB of RAM, and a 60GB hard drive. The processor is a measly 512 MHz AMD Geode, but it’s still enough to run Linux or even Windows XP.

And it manages this all on 6W of power, so green companies will probably go mad for it – and you might too, given it’s capable of running off car cigarette lighters and solar panels. Granted you can’t play Crysis on it, and even Solitaire might be a struggle, but your boss probably doesn’t want you to anyway, so expect this little critter on desks everywhere sharpish.
