Right, so we know that some lucky beggars have already got their mitts on Dell’s dinky wonder, but if you’ve not ordered one already you could be waiting sometime for one if recent reports are to be believed.
According to a piece in DigiTimes, Compal – which makes laptops for Dell, is suffering from a shortage of (deep breath) ‘in-mold roller (IMR) treated chassis’. The result? Dell may have to reduce its target of shipping 1 million units to 700,000.
Here’s hoping that something can be done about chassis crisis before it affects shipments this side of the ocean.
