Sony recently threw a swanky shindig in New York to celebrate the launch of some colourful laptops and in addition to having guest star Lauren Conrad (you know – Lauren. Off of The Hills), a Sony exec let slip its future secret small laptop plans.
Laptop Mag managed to pull Senior Vice President Mike Abary to one side and quiz him on Sony’s plans in the little laptop market. While he wouldn’t reveal anything about the design he did say: “we are letting the pioneers in the market make the mistakes. Sony has to participate because consumers are our core competency.”
So there you have it. Sony will definitely be making a mini notebook. We don’t know what it’ll look like or what will be inside. Or how much it’ll cost. Or when it’ll be available. But it will happen. At some point. Definitely. Because consumers are its core competency.
