The Thunder/Storm beats the iPhone in plenty of ways - according to its makers, anywayThe BlackBerry Storm – aka Thunder – is about to launch in the US of Stateside, exclusive to Verizon – and RIM has sent retail stores a cheat sheet detailing its features and functions. Luckily for us, it’s been leaked – revealing more details on the forthcoming iPhone killer.

The sheet advises Verizon employees, when asked about the differences between the Storm and the iPhone 3G, to point out that the Storm supports picture messaging, stereo Bluetooth and turn-by-turn directions for satnav, and features a removable battery and memory – all of which are off the menu for Apple’s beautiful touch screen blower. The Storm will also have a 3.2-megapixel camera as opposed to the iPhone 3G’s weedy 2-meg snapper.

Valid points all – but the sheet delicately sidesteps the fact that the iPhone 3G has a multi-touch screen and lots of built-in storage space. It does mention “smooth and precise text input” on the Storm’s screen though – something email-happy BlackBerry-ites worldwide will be counting on.

The Storm will be called the Thunder when it launches in the UK, and will be exclusive to Vodafone.
