Although we’ve been expecting Apple to announce a new range of MacBooks for some time, the Cupertino-ites have kept quiet on the matter. Not so Citigroup analyst Richard Garner, who claims the new notebooks are already wending their way to shops.
Citing “field checks” (no, us neither), Garner says the shipment process is already underway – possibly hinting at an on sale date in October.
The analyst also claims the new range will be very thin, aluminium-clad and feature LED backlighting on the screens, and that the models will arrive at an “aggressive entry-level price point” – perhaps as little as $999 (about £560). Let’s hope he’s right…
