Sony might have slightly lost out to console sales to the Xbox 360 but remain bullish about their Autumn PS3 lineup of games claiming it’s “unmatched”by their rivals.
The Xbox 360 (195,000) beat the PS3 (185,000) in August sales but Sony is still convinced they will come out on top.
Sony Computer Entertainment boss, Jack Tretton said as much in response to the sales figures.
“We’re looking forward to a solid holiday season and are excited to offer a string of unmatched content to consumers in the coming months with LittleBigPlanet, Socom: Confrontation, Resistance 2, and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift.”
Amongst all this its worth pointing out the Nintendo Wii blew both Microsoft and Sony to smithereens notching up a high score of 453,000.
The PS3 might have an impressive first party lineup but with third party games due to do well for the Xbox 360 too things will be pretty even between the two till the years end at least.
