Sony ZS-S4iPiPod docks are about a thousand a penny these days, but the 90s look of this idock boombox is enough to make it stand out from the crowd.

If you miss the strangely therapeutic act of popping open a cassette deck to get to your music, the ZS-S4iP lets you do just that with your iPod, leaving it trapped to play songs in a linear order until the eject button is pressed.

Don’t worry though – with no moving parts in MP3 players, it’s unlikely to catch on anything and unravel it like your favourite tape. And if you still have the strange shiny round things that store music on, there’s a CD player on top too. With 2 watt speakers, it’s unlikely to sound like a Stradivarius, but it should be OK to enjoy Now! 22 again on.

Out October | £95 | Sony (via CrunchGear)
