There’s an updated version of Flip’s super cheap camcorder heading to these shore in time for Christmas, promising better battery life and a sleeker look.
Like its predecessor, the Mino packs in 2GB of flash memory – good for one hour of shooting. Footage is captured in oh-so-near DVD 640×480 resolution and you can then shift it over to your PC for editing by flipping out the USB plug at the top.
It’ll let you shoot for four hours between top ups and you can charge it up in about three hours from the port on your PC. It’s not quite ready just yet, but Firebox is expecting to have plenty in for Christmas, so it really depends on whether you’ve been naught or nice.
