Five colour choices are on offer – from your normal black or white to the more adventurous brown, red and pink. To help you get quick access to your media, you’ll find a strip of touch sensitive controls nestling between the top of the keyboard and the screen. Sony has also thrown in an application that will go through your music collection and quietly judge you sort it into different moods, so you can make sure you’ve always got the perfect musical backdrop no matter what you’re doing.
Underneath the pretty clothes, music categorisation capabilities and touchy feely controls, you’ll find a 2.26GHz Intel P8400 Core 2 Duo chip, 4GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive, a 14.1in 1,280×800 display, Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS graphics, Wi-Fi and a copy of Vista Home Premium.
