Apple just introduced the thinnest iPod ever made – the brand new nano, available in tons of eye-popping new hues, it’s a curvy little number, and we’ve gotten up-close with it. Read on for more pictures, and our first impressions.
The new iPod nano is available in silver, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red and pink. It’s very, very shiny, and that oval design makes it feel lovely in the hand.
The new software is more graphical than ever. The length of the screen means you can fit in huge track listings, and still have space at the bottom for album artwork.
The new software also includes a voice recorder, which will let you dictate memos using Apple’s (optional) headphones, since they include a mic.
Fancy? Not nearly as fancy as Apple’s new “shake to shuffle” feature. Yep, you guessed it, you can give the iPod nano a rattle to change tracks. It uses the accelerometer inside that’s also responsible for rotating the screen from portrait to landscape.
